So I was about to buy this used TT from a private seller in Sharjah, really clean looking car, low mileage, guy seemed genuine. But something in my gut said get it checked first. A friend of mine who's into cars told me about Exotic Car Care and said they do proper inspections, not just a quick look and a thumbs up. So I booked it in and honestly best money I've spent. They found the car had been in a front end accident that wasn't disclosed, plus some suspension work that was done poorly. Nothing catastrophic but definitely stuff I would have been stuck fixing later. The seller got defensive when I brought it up which told me everything. Walked away and ended up finding a better one a few weeks later. Just sharing because I know a lot of people skip the inspection to save a few hundred dirhams and it can really bite you.

Took my TT for a pre purchase inspection and dodged a bullet -
How often do you actually need to service an Audi in this climate?Genuine question because I keep getting conflicting advice. The dealer says every 15k or once a year, but a guy at a parts shop told me with the heat and dust here you should be doing it way more often, like every 8 to 10k. I've got a 2019 A4 and I do mostly short city drives with the occasional Abu Dhabi to Dubai run. Some days I barely do 20km. Another friend said short trips are actually worse for the car than long ones and I should be more careful about oil changes. I've been thinking about getting a proper opinion from someone who actually works on these cars daily so I was told to visit this website and see what they recommend. But before I do that I wanted to hear from you lot. How often are you actually servicing yours? Am I being paranoid or is there real truth to the shorter interval thing here?

Weird question but does the foam matter as much as the leather?Everyone talks about stitching and material when they get their seats redone but nobody mentions the foam underneath and I feel like that's the part that actually makes or breaks the job. My Camry driver seat has gone flat on the left side, you can basically feel the metal frame through it on longer drives, and the leather itself is still mostly fine apart from some shine. I don't want to spend on a retrim only to find out a month later that the seat is still uncomfortable because they just wrapped new material over tired old foam. I was reading up on 800 Sayara car upholstery stuff while trying to figure out if foam replacement is standard or something you have to specifically ask for, because if it's an add-on I want to know the cost before I walk in anywhere. Anyone know how this usually works, do shops replace the padding as part of the job or do you have to insist on it?

Car stuck in Business Bay parking, need a tow but building is being difficultMy car will not start at all, been sitting in the Business Bay tower parking for two days now and I need to get it to a workshop. The problem is the building management is giving me a hard time about bringing a tow truck into the garage, saying it is a safety issue and they need approval etc. I understand their concern but I also need my car out of there. Has anyone dealt with a reliable car towing near Business Bay that knows how to handle these building situations, or do I need to sort the permissions myself first? Also is it even possible to tow a car out of a basement parking if the ramp is steep, or do they use some kind of dolly system? I am not sure if I should just keep pushing the building or find a tow company that has dealt with this before. Any advice from people who have been stuck in this situation would really help.

Handle broke off mid lift, is this fixable or do I bin it?Was moving a pallet of cement bags this morning and halfway through the lift the handle on our jack just gave way, the pin sheared right off and the whole thing dropped. Nobody got hurt thankfully but it was close, the pallet landed about a foot from my colleague's foot. The unit is probably four or five years old and has been abused pretty hard honestly, but the pump still works fine which makes me reluctant to just throw it away. Can a handle be replaced on these things or does it mean the whole jack is done? Also now I am worried the same thing could happen again on another unit without warning, so is there a way to check for wear before it fails. We have three of these in the yard and I am thinking we should inspect all of them properly. Would rather repair than replace if the cost makes sense, but not at the risk of another near miss. Any advice on where the weak points are on a hydraulic pallet jack would be appreciated.
